New I-95 Welcome Center Making Progress
Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee are working with GDEcD and GDOT to have a significant presence in Georgia’s new state welcome center southbound on I-95 and just across the border from South Carolina. The previous center was demolished last year after nearly 40 years of service. A new, state-of-the-art facility is being erected and will showcase the Savannah and Tybee Island experience, along with the Brunswick/Golden Isles area, and is expected to be open by mid-February, 2017.
