Visit Savannah Attends GSAE and Promotes 2020 Meeting in Savannah

At the end of May, members of Visit Savannah’s meetings and conventions team attended the 2019 Georgia Society of Association Executives annual meeting in Greenville, South Carolina. The meeting provided relevant and local educational opportunities, connections to professionals with a knowledge exchange unparalleled in the Southeast, resources and news to keep the information flow clear, concise and actionable. Also in attendance was Visit Savannah’s board chair Dave Legasse of The Salt Table, who spoke at a dinner at a Greenville restaurant about the Georgia Grown program.

The Georgia Society of Association Executives is comprised of meeting planners, hotel partners and influencers residing in the state of Georgia who impact the meeting and convention industry. The last time Savannah hosted this meeting was in 2014 and it is an exciting opportunity for Savannah to again be chosen for the annual meeting in 2020. This is not only an important meeting for the organization, but a tremendous opportunity to showcase the city.

GSAE will hold its 2020 annual meeting here in Savannah. As part of the 2019 meeting, Visit Savannah, local partners and GSAE hosted a big reveal of the 2020 destination and the “bringing back the roaring ’20s” event theme. Visit Savannah’s video production coordinator Tyler Edic created a special video for the team to use in their meeting destination reveal: click here or click the image below to see it!
