Visit Savannah’s Jeff Hewitt and Larry Browder co-hosted a highly successful event for meeting planners in the Washington D.C. area with five other cities last week. Six in the City, A Southern BBQ Experience, was held at The Barns at Wolftrap in Vienna, Virginia, and attracted more than 190 top meeting planners. Guests enjoyed learning about the latest developments in Savannah while relaxing with amazing food provided by Savannah’s own The Gaslight Group. We awarded select meeting planners with Savannah branded barbecue kits and overnight stays in partner hotels. The event generated a lot of interest in the destination and the team looks forward to hosting future events from these top planners.
