On Tuesday, January 7, Chamber members gathered for a Power Hour lunch-and-learn and networking event at the Holiday Inn Savannah Historic District. This month’s featured speaker was Jeffrey L. Williamson of the J.L. Williamson Law Group, LLC, who gave a presentation on the Taxpayer First Act, a new law passed in July of 2019, containing many provisions that are taxpayer-favorable. Williamson discussed how this new law affects how taxpayers, particularly business owners, interact with the IRS.
