This past weekend Laurie Humphries, Visit Savannah’s destination services manager, and Kasey Ricketts, sports & services coordinator, attended the Event Services Professionals Association (ESPA) Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado. ESPA is an organization that focuses on the education and advocacy for the event services community among CVBs, hotels, convention centers and meeting planners and has over 500 members from across the country.

For the 2020 conference, Humphries served as committee vice chair and was a moderator for multiple sessions leading her peers in discussion, networking and conversation. As a first-time attendee, Ricketts was able to meet and network among the CSMs across the country in various size destinations and learn more about the services role and how it impacts the meetings, conventions, and destinations we represent.
