Grand Openings, Ribbon Cuttings & Congratulations for the Week of February 10

CROSSROADS DEFENSE

Crossroads Defense is a veteran-owned and operated professional firearms dealer, started by Army vets Anthony Alvarado, and Marine Dusty Courtland (from The Gun Shop). All three are passionate about firearms and continuing their service by serving their community. Crossroads has a school-trained certified gunsmith onsite and offer professional and friendly services; as well as range safety classes by an NRA-certified instructor. Join Crossroads Defense for their grand opening day February 22 with a ribbon cutting cutting taking place at 1 p.m.!

HOWARD FAMILY DENTAL WILMINGTON ISLAND

The team at Howard Family Dental Wilmington Island is pleased to unveil their newly renovated practice during a grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, February 26 at 4 p.m. The renovation expanded the office’s square footage from 2,833 to 3,544 square feet, increased the number of patient rooms from six to 10, raised the building 16 inches to meet FEMA flood map standards, and completely transformed the look and feel of the practice. As a result of the expansion, Howard Family Dental is proud to announce that Dr. Aileen Han will join Dr. Christy Harpring as a provider. The addition of Dr. Han will extend the practice’s hours to Monday through Friday and select Saturdays to better serve the needs of patients in the Wilmington Island community. Please join them February 26 to celebrate their new space!

CBD EXPRESS OF WILMINGTON ISLAND

CBD Express opened its new Savannah store on Thursday, February 6 at noon. As the community’s partner in the workforce, CBD Express trains people to help educate on the growing hemp industry because CBD changes lives.

Through the community’s support, CBD Express stores are able to help individuals in overcoming barriers and disabilities with their products, thereby helping to heal the community. Join the Chamber in congratulating CBD Express on their official ribbon cutting!

 

GOODWILL SOUTHEAST GEORGIA

Goodwill Southeast Georgia celebrated the grand opening of its new Opportunity Center on Saturday, February 8 at 10 a.m. Goodwill has made some big changes so more members of the community can grow at Goodwill. Explore the learning lab and learn about expanded services while enjoying tours, family fun, refreshments, and more! As the community’s partner in workforce development, Goodwill trains people to work – because jobs change lives. Through the community’s support of Goodwill’s stores, donation centers and business services Goodwill is able to help individuals in overcoming barriers and disabilities with a hand up, not a hand out. Goodwill Southeast Georgia touched the lives of more than 6,500 job seekers in 2019 providing individual support, training and professional development and employment services in their Opportunity Centers. Congratulations to Goodwill Southeast Georgia!
