Crossroads Defense is a veteran-owned and operated professional firearms dealer, started by Army vets Anthony Alvarado, and Marine Dusty Courtland (from The Gun Shop). All three are passionate about firearms and continuing their service by serving their community. Crossroads has a school-trained certified gunsmith onsite and offer professional and friendly services; as well as range safety classes by an NRA-certified instructor. River Street Inn has recently completed a $4,000,000 + renovation to its 203-year-old property, and they wish to welcome all Chamber members to their official ribbon cutting and grand re-opening! Join the staff of the River Street Inn Tuesday, February 25 from 5-7 p.m. for wine and hors d’oeuvres, compliments of Huey’s on the River and Tubby’s Seafood, along with tours of the property.

HOWARD FAMILY DENTAL WILMINGTON ISLAND
The team at Howard Family Dental Wilmington Island is pleased to unveil their newly renovated practice during a grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, February 26 at 4 p.m. The renovation expanded the office’s square footage from 2,833 to 3,544 square feet, increased the number of patient rooms from six to 10, raised the building 16 inches to meet FEMA flood map standards, and completely transformed the look and feel of the practice. As a result of the expansion, Howard Family Dental is proud to announce that Dr. Aileen Han will join Dr. Christy Harpring as a provider. The addition of Dr. Han will extend the practice’s hours to Monday through Friday and select Saturdays to better serve the needs of patients in the Wilmington Island community. Please join them February 26 to celebrate their new space!

CHATHAM COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT DENTAL CLINIC FOR CHILDREN
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last week for the Chatham County Health Department Dental Clinic for Children, which will serve children ages 0-17. The Dental Clinic features three treatment rooms and an X-ray room and offers services including cleanings, sealants, fillings, extractions, X-rays, and fluoride treatments.
The Dental Clinic is open Monday through Friday during regular health department hours. Reduced fees are available based on proof of income which should be presented at the first visit. The Dental Clinic also accepts Medicaid, Amerigroup, Peach State, WellCare, and CareSource.
Dental Director for the Coastal Health District, Debra Smith, DMD, along with a dental hygienist, will also focus on educating parents on the importance of good dental hygiene. The Dental Clinic will help bridge the gap in access to dental care for children who are un- or under-insured.
“Dental care can be difficult to afford without insurance.
