Councils

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce oversees an array of councils dedicated to important community matters. Learn more about each of our councils below.

President’s Council

The Chamber’s President’s Council meets six times a year to discuss community issues and other matters which affect the successful operation of large businesses in Savannah and Chatham County.

The meetings have proven to be both interesting and informative. The Council has historically advocated for policies that benefit not only businesses but also their employees as well as the greater community. Those issues have included public safety and healthy workplace practices.

Our number one priority remains workforce development as the greater Savannah areas economy continues to grow. The Council will delve into not only workforce development but also issues of workforce housing, labor shortages, and education

Participation in the President’s Council is by invitation only as membership consists of the CEO’s of our largest private sector employers. There are approximately 45 members currently.
