The office of Gunn Meyerhoff Shay is located in the heart of downtown Savannah, within one of Savannah’s most historic buildings. The office is positioned adjacent to the Cotton Exchange building in one of the cotton exchange warehouses that fostered the cotton industry in the nineteenth century. In addition to a large skylight in the middle of the office, the building is abundantly wrapped with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with ample light during office hours. The team is surrounded by beautiful artwork and images of past projects.

The Gunn Meyerhoff Shay team is compiled of extremely creative and diverse individuals who come together each day to make buildings that are “of Savannah,” but in a way that is innovative and fresh. Our open office layout is the key to our cutting-edge design. It allows us to be constantly interacting and relying on each other to further the design in order to get the highest quality product.

GMS is a mixed-media office. All team members are proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Google SketchUp, but will also be found sketching at their desks in order to fully develop an idea. Because of everyone’s diverse backgrounds, it not uncommon for the office to get together to get everyone’s input on the direction of a project. Gunn Meyerhoff Shay is truly a collaborative design studio.
