About

CADDA is a private, non-profit, economic development lender that offers both credit enhancement programs as well as incentive programs to the banks and small business concerns. It was established in 1976 as a result of a grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA).

CADDA is governed by a very active and supportive Board of Directors consisting of 17 members representing 9 counties in Georgia. Those counties include: Effingham, Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Glynn, Camden, Bulloch.

CADDA receives no federal, state or local funding. It is self-sufficient and generates sufficient revenues to pay its operating expenses including loan losses.

The organization’s primary goal is to assist banks in making loans to businesses to help facilitate job creation and/or job retention. Its loan officers help banks to analyze financial information, determine eligibility for certain loan programs, structure the loan, and finally package the loan and submit it to the appropriate approving entity. For that service, CADDA receives a nominal fee when the loan gets approved.

What We Do
CADDA administers loan programs through three primary government entities, which allows it to achieve its focus. These government entities are the Small Business Administration, the USDA Rural Development (RD), and the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA).

The service area for the CADDA SBA loan programs include southern South Carolina (Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper Counties), all of Georgia, and North Florida (Duval, Nassau, St. John’s and Clay Counties). The EDA and RD programs serve 18 southern counties.
