About

While design is instinctual and fluid, the actual process of design is complex, detailed, and diverse. The finer things take time.

At Lily Brown Interiors, we explore the people and places for whom we design. We have a unique approach and a highly refined process for managing your project. Regardless of whether you are down the street or across the country, we coordinate seamlessly with your team of architects, contractors, trades, furniture makers, and receivers to ensure all details are considered and communicated.

PRIVILEGE
It is our sincere belief that it is a privilege to be invited into someone's home or business and to be charged with designing and furnishing it. The decisions we make will have a profound and potentially lifelong effect on how you live and work. We do not take this responsibility lightly and we believe in the importance of a good client relationship to achieve the best results possible.

PROCESS
We make it easy to make decisions. Our job is to bring your vision to fruition by asking questions and having conversations to understand the way you want to use your space and how you want it to feel. Even if you are unsure, we pride ourselves in helping you navigate the options and unknowns. The best compliment we get is when a client tells us “I didn’t even know I needed that.”

PRESERVATION
Having the unique opportunity to work on historical homes in Savannah and beyond, we are keenly sensitive to opportunities for preservation and restoration. When working on historic homes, it is not always possible to change existing architecture and that can be a good thing: Having limitations pushes us to be more creative in finding solutions. When we need to incorporate contemporary services and ergonomic solutions, we do so in the most thoughtful way. But when we preserve for the right reasons, beautiful things can happen.

We frequently blend antiques into our interiors and choose heirloom quality furnishings that can last for generations, taking care to purchase as many things domestically as possible. Over time, we think your sofa, for example, should need to be recovered, not replaced.
