The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce recently toured the North American headquarters of JCB, one of Great Britain’s leading family-owned businesses, located in Pooler, GA. The JCB North America plant, a 500,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility on 1,000 acres near I-95, is one of the largest manufacturing centers in the U.S. From this location, JCB supports over 115 dealers in the U.S. and Canada with parts, training, and expertise. The Savannah plant is also the global production hub for all 18 models of JCB’s exclusive side-door entry skid steer and compact track loaders.

Chamber staff were impressed by JCB’s cutting-edge technology, quality control measures, and efficient production processes. They learned about JCB’s advanced systems for tracking and troubleshooting issues with products after they leave the facility, ensuring top-notch service worldwide. The tour offered valuable insights into the manufacturing industry and JCB’s significant role in the local economy. The Chamber looks forward to continuing its partnership with JCB to promote economic development in the Savannah area.
