Chamber Talks Taxes at January Power Hour Luncheon

The Chamber’s Small Business Council met at The Grand Lake Club at Southbridge this month for a lunch-and-learn and networking opportunity featuring speaker Jeffrey Williamson. Williamson, of the J.L Williamson Law Group, presented, “New Year, New Tax Rules: What Every Business Owner Needs to Know About Tax Reform.” This presentation will highlight major changes to the tax rules that affect small business owners and will also discuss tax planning for 2019. It will cover, among other things, the new depreciation rules, the new 199A deduction, and changes affecting partnerships.
The Chamber Power Hour takes place the second Tuesday of each month and features a guest speaker from the community presenting a topic relevant to small business owners and employees. Mark your calendars for another networking opportunity coming up on February 5!
