Chamber to Support Summer Intern Program Initiatives

In summer 2015, the Savannah Chamber, along with a number of other community organizations and businesses, partnered to help identify jobs for the City of Savannah’s pre-apprentice summer work program geared toward teens who would most benefit from intense education and work skills training.
In addition to continuing support of the program in Summer 2016, the Chamber will also support the city of Savannah’s new summer intern program benefitting 500 rising seniors. Both programs will feature life skills training while offering students the ability to put their knowledge to use through coordinated job opportunities.

Part-time student jobs are needed from employers of all industries and the success of this program will rely heavily on participation from our business community. We are urging members to support this important initiative as involvement will result in the development and growth of our future workforce.

We will be reaching out to members for involvement; however, if your company would like to commit its participation now, please contact Drew Hunt at dhunt@savannahchamber.com or 912.644.6422.
