Chamber Wraps Up 2015 at 209th Annual Meeting

The Savannah Area Chamber concluded a successful 2015 at its 209th Annual Meeting on Friday, Dec. 11 with more than 400 members in attendance. At the event, Trey Cook, the Chamber’s 2015 board chair passed the gavel to 2016 board chair, Whip Triplett, executive vice president of North Point Hospitality. The Chamber’s prestigious Oglethorpe Award was given to retired vice president of marketing for Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Bill Shira, for his service to the Chamber and the Savannah area. Other outgoing board members, committee chairs and volunteers also were honored at the luncheon.
