Chatham County Sheriff’s Department and Little Mama Visit the Chamber
Sheriff John T. Wilcher and his team visited the Chamber offices last week to pick up Savannah marketing materials to help showcase Savannah to potential new recruits at an upcoming job fair the department is attending. Adding to the friendly visit was “Little Mama” the Sherriff’s department newest 4-footed recruit for Operation New Hope! Operation New Hope is a partnership program between the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office and various animal rescue organizations throughout the area. It gives unadoptable dogs in our community a second chance for adoption and helps rehabilitate inmates in the Chatham County Detention Center. The adorable “Little Mama” quickly won the hearts of the Chamber staff and received warm hugs in exchange.
