Savannah Quintet Swings into the Spotlight with “Keep On Smiling” Release 

Jordan Hernandez & The Quintessentials celebrated the release of their debut album, Keep On Smiling, with an unforgettable dinner party and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, November 3, at the Kimpton Brice Hotel. Guests were treated to an evening of classic crooner hits, paying tribute to jazz legends like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, and Nat King Cole. The event highlighted the band’s remarkable talent and marked a major milestone in their musical journey. Congratulations to Jordan Hernandez & The Quintessentials on this successful album release! We eagerly await more from this rising star in the Savannah jazz scene.

Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire

Mary’s Place will host a ribbon cutting to open our new “soft room”, which includes a newly renovated waiting room and examination room. These newly renovated spaces will better support survivors of sexual assault in our community. Mary’s Place provides various services to support survivors, including telephone advocacy via our 24/7 crisis line, hospital accompaniment, survivor advocacy, and support groups. We provide resources and advocacy to over 500 survivors per year and reach over 20,000 youth and young adults with our prevention education programs. Mary’s Place is making a difference in many lives and will continue to address the problem of sexual assault in our community.

Savannah Gardens’ Community Garden Ribbon Cutting Hosted by the Forsyth Farmers’ Market
Date: Friday, November 15

Location: 515 Pennsylvania Avenue

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market will celebrate the grand opening of the new community garden at Savannah Gardens with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and garden party. At the ribbon cutting, Forsyth Farmers’ Market representatives will plant fall and winter crops, including lettuce, cabbage, garlic, and collard greens. This edible garden represents the Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s commitment to providing direct access to fresh, locally-grown produce for Savannah-area residents. The community garden will be accessible to all residents of the 484-unit Savannah Gardens housing complex. The ribbon cutting will bring together local businesses who contributed to the creation of this garden, including Under One Sun Creative Consulting, Code of Return Compost, C&K Custom Gutter Solutions, and Decks & Docks Lumber Company. Light refreshments and mocktails will be served.
