Jared W. Downs, Vice President of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, has graduated from the Institute for Organization Management, a professional development program by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Downs received the IOM Graduate Recognition, signifying his completion of 96 credit hours in non-profit management. The program also offers credits toward Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) or Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications.
Nearly 1,000 individuals attend the Institute annually and are recognized nationwide as leaders in their fields. Established in 1921, the Institute educates non-profit leaders on building stronger organizations, serving members better, and becoming effective business advocates. The curriculum includes leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, and membership courses over four university sessions. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce represents companies of all sizes, from small businesses to large corporations.
