Leadership Savannah Class Explores Area Agribusiness and Marine Science with GSU and SSU

Last week, Leadership Savannah visited Nellwood Farms in Brooklet, Georgia, to see a working farm and hear how it operates from Farmer David Crumley. Faculty from Georgia Southern University greeted the class and brought in professors and professionals to discuss the agribusiness incubator led by GSU.
The class then traveled to Savannah State University, where they enjoyed lunch overlooking the marsh and a historical walking tour of campus to hear SSU’s approach to leadership. The day ended with a student-led tour of the Marine Science Center.
Members of the class were highly engaged and excited to learn about our environmental resources and how those recourses benefit our economy and protect our ecosystems.
Thank you to Georgia Southern University and Savannah State University for making this program possible.
