The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the Savannah Junior League’s “Bubbles & Bills” event at the Chamber office last week. The event allowed the Junior League members to learn more about the Chamber’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the business community.
Savannah Chamber President & CEO Bert Brantley and Vice President Jared Downs spoke to the group about the Chamber’s work with local, state, and federal leaders to ensure that they are aware of the business needs in the Savannah area and encourage them to pass business-friendly legislation. They also answered questions about the area’s several local and regional issues, including transportation, education, homelessness, and workforce development.
The “Bubbles & Bills” event is a valuable opportunity for the Chamber to engage with the next generation of business leaders and educate them about advocacy’s importance. The Junior League is a women’s leadership organization committed to improving the community, and the Chamber is grateful for their partnership.
