Savannah Chamber Partners with University of Georgia’s SBDC for Exclusive Film Vendor Opportunity Session

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to host an exclusive session for our members on becoming a Film Friendly Vendor. This event presents a prime opportunity for local businesses to gain insights into catering to our region’s distinct needs for film and TV productions. Participants will receive guidance on navigating the production ecosystem and becoming a registered vendor with the Savannah Regional Film Commission, offering valuable steps to elevate your business’s visibility and opportunities within this growing industry.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at Victory North, 2603 Whitaker St, Savannah, GA 30401. The session will cover key topics, including a comprehensive guide to purchase orders and invoices, registration procedures with the Savannah Film Commission, and tips for creating an outstanding vendor profile. Attendees will also benefit from a Q&A session featuring insights from Film Commission staff, a production manager, and seasoned small business vendors, who will share their experiences and answer any questions.

This complimentary program is a unique chance to connect with influential figures in the film industry and discover how your business can become a preferred local vendor. Whether you are already involved in the industry or seeking to enter it, this event is an invaluable opportunity. To secure your spot, please register by visiting UGA SBDC Training.

We look forward to welcoming you and supporting your business’s growth in this dynamic sector. Contact Jennifer Davenport, VP of Community Affairs at the Savannah Chamber, or J. Kennedy at UGA SBDC for more information. Interested parties can also call 912-651-3200.
