Savannah Graduates to Offer Workforce Survey

A highly trained and skilled workforce is key to ensuring the future success of any great community.
Currently, 60 percent of all U.S. jobs require a degree or credential, however only 38 percent of all adults in Chatham County have one.

In 2014, Savannah Graduates was created through a partnership of business and community organizations to address this issue and increase the number of adults with a degree or credential from 38 to 48 percent by 2025. Savannah Graduates will serve as an advocate for continuing education and a resource for workforce programs already in place, but for which help from the business community is still needed.

In the coming months, Savannah Graduates will issue an education benefits survey to better gauge the current level of employer involvement and tools needed to build a stronger workforce. Stay tuned for the survey’s release in future Chamber newsletters.
