On March 23, director of the Savannah Sports Council Rob Wells and senior events and sales manager Jonathan Sykes participated in Jenkins Athletic Club’s second annual Clays for Kids fundraising event.
The athletic club is a nonprofit that has been dedicated to providing a range of youth athletic programs and facilities for Savannah’s youth since 1933.

Proceeds from last year’s event helped the club meet several critical objectives. With the addition of girls’ programs, the formerly boys-only club rebranded and changed its name. With the new name came the need for new signage. The proceeds also helped to refresh the facility’s paint, provided new padding along the walls of the gym as well as a refinishing treatment for the gym floor. It is now one of the finest gymnasiums in the area.
