August 9-12, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), an industry association to support and develop chamber professionals in leading their communities, are gathering in Savannah for their 2016 Annual Convention. During the 4-day conference, executives and staff from chambers both domestic and international will network with other thought leaders, attend workshops on best practices, experience new perspectives from their peers and will have opportunities to enjoy Savannah for most of the week.
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce will be honored at the event with a Grand Award for their “Savannah Hauntings” video series entry to the 2016 Awards for Communication Excellence. Registration for the convention has exceeded organizers’ expectations by more than 20 percent, topping attendance at their centennial anniversary convention, and proving what a draw Savannah has been for ACCE members. The convention is an opportunity to showcase the city’s assets as a group and convention destination, and attendees are looking forward to experiencing Savannah’s legendary Southern hospitality.
