Chamber Chairmen Jon Pannell of Gray Pannell & Woodward, LLP, kicked off the meeting with an update on the Chamber’s initiatives and events throughout the year. Representatives from Buy Local, Downtown Business Association, Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce, Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Economic Development Authority, Tourism Leadership Council, and Visit Savannah also gave updates on their busy year serving the business community.

The gavel was passed to 2022 incoming Chairmen Allyson Harvin, who will take the helm in January. We want to thank Chairman Jon Pannell, who, when named Chairmen of the Board of Directors in 2020 had no inclination of the challenges and disruptions that awaited him and our business community that year and into 2021. After agreeing to serve and an additional year as board chair, Jon led with wisdom and passion for our community’s post-COVID recovery. Jon will remain an essential part of the board leadership team as an immediate past chair.
