Ribbon Cutting for Shuk

Join Savannah’s newest Mediterranean Restaurant as they ‘make it official’ with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event! Shuk is a new restaurant focused on nurturing a comforting space for the community to gather and relish in fresh, honest flavors inspired by the Mediterranean. The Shuk team invites you to 1313 Habersham Street to celebrate over happy hour on Wednesday, March 29th from 4pm-6pm. Come enjoy live music, door prizes, and happy hour specials! Shuk is excited to showcase a local non-profit, One Love Rescue. One Love works with shelters, rescue groups, and the community to facilitate the adoption of neglected, abused, and unwanted pets in the Savannah area. The Rescue will be onsite with adoptable animals. Attendees are encouraged to contribute by donating the following:

Ribbon-Cutting for Greenbriar Children’s Center

Greenbriar Children’s Center will open its new Greenbriar Infant Center on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 10:00 am. Greenbriar Children’s Center is a non-profit serving children and families in Savannah for over 73 years. Greenbriar currently operates two early learning and childcare programs which provide services to children ages six months to five years who are from primarily low income families. The new Greenbriar Infant Center will provide similar services to infants as young as six weeks old to 18 months old, on its primary campus. Greenbriar also provides an emergency shelter for children ages 11 to 18 years old, and a Family Preservation and Support program which provides FREE counseling and support services to families in crisis. Ribbon Cutting for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah
DATE: April 17

LOCATION: Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah (6510 Seawright Drive | Savannah, GA)
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah will officially cut the ribbon on its new wing on April 17th. The community is invited to attend. The Ribbon Cutting and Open House will celebrate the addition of 10 more beds; a new dialysis suite and an expanded therapy gym. The ribbon cutting will take place first thing on Monday at 9 a.m. Open House and Tours will be offered from 5 to 6:30 p.m. If you cannot make those times, please stop in and someone will be happy to show you around. Encompass Health is a Stroke and Hip Fracture Center of Excellence – once the ribbon is cut, they will be able to offer 60 beds for inpatient rehabilitative care to the Savannah and surrounding communities.

Ribbon Cutting for River Street Sweets

River Street Sweets® celebrated their 50th Anniversary year with a ribbon cutting to kick-off the grand opening of their new location at 32 Broughton Street on Tuesday, March 21. The family-owned company, with 15 locations, has been making memories and delighting candy lovers since 1973, when it first opened its flagship location on historic River Street. The family matriarch, Pam, helped Savannah City Mayor Van Johnson, and her children, Tim and Jennifer Strickland cut the official ribbon on the newest shop. Many family members, longtime friends, business associates, and media professionals were on-hand for the festivities. Stop by the new location!
