The Chamber Power Hour | December 4

Many small businesses want news coverage but what does it take to get news coverage? How does the news become the news? In this lunchtime seminar, Fox 28 Forecaster Jason Frazer and WTOC Anchor/Reporter Romney Smith will instruct attendees on how local news agencies find their stories, how to leverage their business’ strengths and how they can prepare for a news interview. They’ll also get some advice on how to handle a situation where a story doesn’t pan out the way they wanted. It’s important for the business community to understand how journalists do their jobs, why certain stories get covered and how to identify which news agency is best for their needs.
The Chamber Power Hour takes place the second Tuesday of each month and features a guest speaker from the community presenting a topic relevant to small business owners and employees as well as a hot lunch and opportunity to network with fellow small business members. Join us in December at the Catholic Diocese of Savannah!
