Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire Ribbon Cutting

Mary’s Place will host a ribbon cutting to open our new “soft room”, which includes a newly renovated waiting room and examination room. These newly renovated spaces will better support survivors of sexual assault in our community. Mary’s Place provides various services to support survivors, including telephone advocacy via our 24/7 crisis line, hospital accompaniment, survivor advocacy, and support groups. We provide resources and advocacy to over 500 survivors annually and reach over 20,000 youth and young adults with our prevention education programs. Mary’s Place is making a difference in many lives and will continue to address the problem of sexual assault in our community.

Savannah Gardens’ Community Garden Ribbon Cutting Hosted by the Forsyth Farmers’ Market

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market will celebrate the grand opening of the new community garden at Savannah Gardens with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and garden party. At the ribbon cutting, Forsyth Farmers’ Market representatives will plant fall and winter crops, including lettuce, cabbage, garlic, and collard greens. This edible garden represents the Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s commitment to providing direct access to fresh, locally-grown produce for Savannah-area residents. The community garden will be accessible to all 484-unit Savannah Gardens housing complex residents. The ribbon cutting will bring together local businesses who contributed to the creation of this garden, including Under One Sun Creative Consulting, Code of Return Compost, C&K Custom Gutter Solutions, and Decks & Docks Lumber Company. Light refreshments and mocktails will be served.
