The Georgia District Export Council (GDEC) and World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) partnered on February 24 to host an Exporter Roundtable, providing Savannah-area businesses with critical insights and resources to expand their reach into global markets.
The event featured financial and export industry experts from the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the Small Business Development Center at the University of Georgia, the Small Business Administration, and Regions Bank. These representatives shared valuable guidance on financial assistance, risk mitigation, and government-backed programs designed to support businesses looking to export their products or services internationally.
“The Georgia District Export Council is here to help all interested Georgians take the next step in exposing their products to the world,” said Daraka Satcher, Chairman of the Georgia District Export Council. “It’s only natural that we make our presence better known where so many great American products begin their journey to other countries. We look forward to continued engagement with the Hostess City.”
Antwone Muhammad, Programs and Community Development Manager at World Trade Center Savannah, highlighted the event’s impact on local businesses: “The 2025 Exporter Roundtable was engaging, informative, and enjoyable, thanks to World Trade Center Savannah’s partnership with the Georgia District Export Council. This collaboration empowered us to create a platform where knowledge and opportunities flourish, proving that together, we can thrive globally and prosper locally.”
As a critical hub for international trade, Savannah fosters global business connections. This event reinforced the region’s commitment to helping local companies succeed in international markets by bringing together experts and business leaders.
