Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) Expands Services with New SavannahLlocation
Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) celebrated the grand opening of its second location in Savannah on Thursday, August 22. President and CEO Chris Brand cut the ribbon, joined by FODAC Board Chair Lou Alvarado (also the Savannah facility’s Managing Director) and prestigious leaders of the community, including Savannah Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Chair Brad Harmon, Chamber President & CEO Bert Brantley, U.S. Representative Buddy Carter, and State Director of the Office of U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, Bee Nguyen. The Savannah location has partnered with the Goodwill of Southeast Georgia, which enhances FODAC’s ability to collect gently used home medical equipment (HME). The HME items will be collected from the public at all 17 Goodwill retail stores around the coastal area, including wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and all types of mobility aids and assistive technology needed by people with injuries, illnesses or disabilities to remain independent and active in their communities. Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) of Atlanta, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities, is a nationally recognized leader in medical reuse equipment and the largest organization of its kind in the world. StretchLab Savannah Celebrates New Ownership and Community Appreciation
StretchLab Savannah hosted a member appreciation party this summer to celebrate new ownership and to thank loyal patrons and the community for their continued support during the transition. Owner Andrew Noll cut the ribbon, joined by his family, staff, and industry partners, including fellow Chamber member Pure Sweat Sauna Studios. The party marked a new beginning for StretchLab Savannah, with a mission to expand their services and deliver even higher results for their members. Komar Distribution Savannah Facility specializes in eCommerce, cross-dock carton in/out, transload, drayage, and domestic transportation. This facility boasts 132 cross-dock doors and 55,000 pallet positions. We are conveniently located just 24 miles from the port and 2.5 miles from the Hyundai EV Megaplant and promise a temperature-controlled environment ensuring the comfort and retention of associates. Our facility operates 24/7 to support both receiving and Komar drayage services.
