Coastal Georgia Buccaneers cuts the Ribbon to commemorate their Home Opener at the Tiger Arena, announcing their presence in the Savannah community.
Kicking off the Coastal Georgia Buccaneers Home Opener, Owner and Managing Partner Prescott Mack cut the Ribbon surrounded by his team players, staff, organizers of the Coastal Georgia Senior Showcase, Visit Savannah and Savannah Chamber of Commerce representatives, Chamber Ambassadors and Chamber members. Director of the Visitor Information Center, Kelli Lee, began the ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming the Coastal Georgia Buccaneers on behalf of Visit Savannah. Tina Mock, Vice President of Membership, congratulated the team on behalf of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. Retired Coach Utaff Gordon, Advisor to the All-Star Game Committee, thanked the Coastal Georgia Buccaneers for hosting the Coastal Georgia Senior Showcase, featuring 44 graduating high school seniors from the region competing in an exhibition game. The showcase will prelude the Bucs’ Opener Weekend. Press members, like Connect Savannah, WTOC Sports, and WJCL, were present to document the occasion and interview the stakeholders. The Coastal Georgia Buccaneers professional basketball team was founded in 2022 and competes in the Atlantic Southeast Division of The Basketball League (the TBL). The team’s mission is to provide high-quality entertainment and community engagement to Savannah and the Coastal Georgia region.

Our primary focus is to help seniors, veterans, and the disabled – both young and old – stay mobile and independent and maintain their quality of life. We provide repairs, rentals, and sales of various mobility equipment, from wheelchairs to bathroom safety accessories and power items, such as scooters, lift chairs, and hospital beds. We aim to keep our clients living their lives to the fullest by not letting mobility challenges shut them down. We provide our service work either in your home or at our store, wherever we are needed. Our rentals can be delivered or picked up in-store; it’s all about what our customers need. And lastly, our new showroom is filled with mobility devices that will keep our clients mobile and independent.

Join us at 6 p.m. for a ribbon cutting celebrating Savannah Cabaret’s Opening Night of “Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein,” including a sneak peek of a pop-up museum honoring Mel Brooks’ career and the 50th Anniversary of the classic movie “Young Frankenstein.” Rick Garman with Savannah Cabaret will be on hand to cut the ceremonial Ribbon and offer guests the opportunity to learn about the theatre group, upcoming shows, and the memorabilia! Ribbon-cutting guests who choose to purchase a ticket to the show in advance online will be invited to a pre-show cocktail hour beginning at 7 p.m. with interactive entertainment. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Those in attendance for the ribbon cutting will not be required to purchase tickets to the show if they choose not to.
