PLANT RIVERSIDE DISTRICT
The Kessler Collection is proud to invite Chamber members and the public to the groundbreaking ceremony for Plant Riverside District, a 419-room J.W. Marriott luxury hotel. The 670,000-square foot property will also include retail space, 13 food and beverage outlets including 3 rooftop bars, an art gallery, a live music venue to accommodate 700, a 484-space parking deck and a 1.5 acre public park along the river. SAVANNAH RIVERBOAT CRUISES
Savannah Riverboat Cruises unveiled its newest cruise ship, the Georgia Queen, last Tuesday on River Street. The exquisite 1000-passenger riverboat is the largest and grandest of its kind in the U.S. and is expected to make a substantial impact on the local economy and the tourism industry statewide. Featuring three elegant floors for dining, dancing and meeting plus an open-air top deck, the Georgia Queen is an excellent addition to Savannah Riverboat Cruises’ fleet. SAVANNAH SQUARE POPS
Congratulations to Savannah Square Pops on opening Savannah’s first gourmet Popsicle store! The business is locally-owned and operated and located at 347 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. The store collected food for the local nonprofit charity America’s Second Harvest Food Bank as well as donated a percentage of the profits from the store during the month of November to the Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF). Learn about Savannah Square Pops’s special services and products for corporate events, private parties, birthdays, tour groups, weddings and charity fundraisers! Congratulations to Roots Southern Salon located at 310 East Bay Street on their grand opening event! Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music and a silent auction to benefit the Greenbriar Children’s Home. Roots Southern Salon is a Redken salon and Savannah’s only hair salon offering a unique salon experience overlooking the Savannah River. OUR DAILY BREAD CAFE
Join the Chamber in congratulating Our Daily Bread Café on its official grand opening and ribbon cutting. Guests to the event enjoyed food, drinks and fresh baked goodies! Our Daily Bread is a counter service bakery and café that serves a full range of scratch-made baked goods such as croissants, pan au chocolat, French macarons, muffins, locally sourced coffee, and a full breakfast/lunch menu. The lunch menu changes regularly to offer newly inspired and seasonal items, and includes several vegan and vegetarian options.
