New Member Orientation Builds Foundation for New Members

In February, some of the newest members of the Chamber and Visit Savannah gathered at Savannah Technical College to learn more about the organization and meet its staff. The orientation is an opportunity for the Chamber’s newest members to learn more about the various programs and services in a small group setting that encourages interaction.
After breakfast prepared by the college’s culinary arts program, Chamber President and CEO Bill Hubbard welcomed guests and introduced Chuck Brown, president of Infinity, Inc. and the orientation sponsor, who welcomed the approximately 40 people in attendance. Hubbard also invited guests to introduce themselves and give a little information on their businesses. Following introductions, Chamber and Visit Savannah staff members gave overviews of their departments and programs of work. Guests were offered the opportunity to ask questions as well as visit one-on-one with staff at the conclusion of the program.

New Member Orientations are held approximately three times per year and afford new members the chance to get to know the staff and the mission of the organization in a small, comfortable atmosphere.
