Savannah is Giving Downtown Police Officers a “Blue Christmas”

During the busy holiday season, police officers will be working vigilantly to keep the city safe for locals and visitors alike. It has been suggested that businesses can show gratitude for officers separated from their families during holiday festivities by placing a blue light in a window or outside fixture. Colored LED candles and blue light bulbs can be purchased online or from craft stores and major retailers. The blue lights will remind officers that the community appreciates their sacrifices during the holidays and every day.
