SCMPD Seeks Community Support for Youth Outreach Programs

Each year, the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department gears up for youth outreach events in October that focus on safety during Halloween and other fall events. Favorite events like Halloween “Trunk or Treat” will once again take place in each precinct. “Coptoberfest” is also back for a second year at the SCMPD Headquarters on Thursday, October 27 from 5:30-8 p.m., where the community will enjoy food, games and interactive police displays as well as receive information on crime prevention.
These events play an important role the department’s youth outreach initiatives which help to engage the Savannah-Chatham community as a whole.

For general questions regarding all SCMPD community outreach programs, contact Michelle Gavin at MGavin@Savannahga.Gov. Monetary donations in support of this programming may be made to The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Foundation. For more information on Coptoberfest, click here.
