They also discussed the recent National Beta Club Convention, which was the largest convention in the city’s history, and which saw as many as 25,000 participants over a 10-day span in June. All reports from the convention organizers and local civic and business leaders are is that it was a hugely successful event, due in part to the coordination between the city, businesses and the convention staff. The Beta Convention is looking to return to Savannah at a future date. The program will run again on air over the coming week and will be available via streaming at newsradio1290wtks.iheart.com.
