Convention Center Expansion Construction Underway
The construction has begun on the expansion project at the Savannah Convention Center and General Manager, Sherrie Spinks, had this reaction: “Wow!”
The expansion will double the size of the exhibit hall to 200,000 square feet, add a new 45,000 square foot ballroom, additional meeting and board rooms and a new 900-space parking garage. The expanded building is expected to be completed by late summer, 2023. The Visit Savannah sales team is currently prospecting for new and larger conventions starting later that year.
