Earlier this month, Visit Savannah’s Director of Tour, Travel & International Sales Mindy Shea attended ITB Berlin, billed as “the world’s leading travel trade show.” Visit Savannah’s participation was in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Travel South USA.
Housed in a 7 million square foot convention center, the show draws more than 10,000 exhibitors and nearly 110,000 attendees. Shea had pre-scheduled appointments with key German tour operators, who expressed confidence that travel to our area will continue to grow in 2018. Germany is consistently one of the top countries sending visitors to Savannah.
