The Visit Savannah team of visitor center First Impression Specialists met last week for their monthly staff training meeting. Lauren Cleland and Jess Brannen led the staff through a detailed presentation on how they should direct international visitors to Visit Savannah’s new foreign language walking tours app, “Savannah Experiences.” The staff learned how to download the application, developed in conjunction with local member Tour Buddy, and instruct visitors on how to utilize the new tours to assist them in finding their way throughout the historic district. Walking tours are now available in Italian, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) and Portuguese. Companion brochures in each language will be stocked in the visitors centers to help international visitors find and use the app.
