Thousands attended the 17th annual Savannah Tire Hockey Classic Jan. 15-17 to watch five collegiate hockey teams–the University of South Carolina, The Citadel, the University of Florida, Florida State University and Georgia Tech–play to win the Thrasher Cup. The University of Florida left the tournament as the Thrasher Cup champions after defeating the University of Georgia 6-3 and Florida State University 3-0.

Savannah Tire Hockey Classic Business Connection

More than 300 Chamber members and their guests attended the first Chamber business connection of 2015 at the Savannah Tire Hockey Classic. Attendees enjoyed food provided by Outback Steakhouse Downtown, beverages and an ice-level view of the game between University of South Carolina and The Citadel, which USC won 9-4.
