Savannah will be welcoming its largest city-wide convention ever from June 12-20 when the National Beta Club Convention comes to the Savannah Convention Center on Hutchinson Island! This unique and energetic convention for high-achieving students in grades 4th through 12th offers club members the opportunity to share project ideas and showcase their academic and leadership abilities with peers from around the globe. More than 20,000 students and 5,000 adult chaperones will be in attendance, staying in hotels all across the area including Pooler, the Southside, Midtown and the Historic District. The Junior Beta Convention, for grades 4th through 8th, takes place June 13-16. Most of these attendees will be traveling in clusters with adult chaperones. The Senior Beta Convention for grades 9th through 12th takes place June 16-20. These older students will likely be spending more of their time exploring the city in smaller groups.
