Japanese Travel Planners Visit Savannah and Tybee Island

Earlier this month, Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee teamed up with Brand USA to host a group of Japanese travel professionals from various agencies who were participating in a FAM tour of the Southeast. The group was interested in learning about our area in order to encourage more Japanese travelers to consider a visit to the Southeast.
The group spent their first day enjoying a trolley tour, visiting the American Prohibition Museum, and exploring City Market and River Street. They ended the day with a Visit Savannah-hosted dinner at The Pirates’ House. The following day, the group toured Tybee Island with Kim Webster of Visit Tybee before hitting the road for their tour of Atlanta. The FAM was a great success, and the group expressed a high degree of optimism in the Japanese travel market’s expected interest in our area.
