The Visit Savannah PR team traveled to Spokane, Washington for the Public Relations Society of America Travel & Tourism Section 2022 conference. This event brings together 500 members from across the industry to a different location each year. This year, the conference included roundtable discussions with other CVB PR staffs, and sessions and panels by some of travel media’s top editors and strategy leaders, as well as keynote addresses by notable figures like NY’s best-selling author Cheryl Strayed and Grammy-nominee Jimmie Allen. Communications Manager, Tanvi Chauhan came back with new knowledge on maximizing PR and freelancer relationships, understanding the diverse voices in LGBTQ media, latest pitching trends with travel media, and cultivating new peer relationships across several CVBs.
