Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon & 5K Canceled for October 2021
The Savannah Sports Council announced the cancellation of the October 9 Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K today after City Hall extended their decision to limit event permits to those under 500 participants.
“The last 18 months have been a challenge for everyone. We were hoping to have a great race this year after last year’s postponement,” said Rob Wells, director of the Greater Savannah Sports Council. “Our team and our runners are understandably disappointed about the decision, but we are optimistic that Savannah will soon see the return of world-class running events.”
