Savannah Celebrates Independence Day in Germany
On July 4, representatives for Visit Savannah attended an Independence Day Party at the U.S. Consulate in Halle, Germany, on behalf of Savannah and Georgia. The venue was decorated in patriotic bunting, American flags and banners, and the head mayor of Halle, Dr. Bernd Wiegand and the Premier of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Haseloff, participated in festivities. They are shown cutting an American flag cake with general consul Timothy Eydelnant (from left to right: Wiegand, Haseloff, and Eydelnant). Other party guests received Savannah Insider’s Guides and Savannah Bee Company lip balms.
