Visit Savannah with partners from the local hospitality community recently participated in a sales mission to multiple Southern states. Mindy Shea, director of tour, travel, and international sales, headed up the mission, during which three teams made sales calls in Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Over the course of the week the teams visited tour operators, Girl Scout councils, senior centers, large churches, and travel agencies, all of which have groups that regularly travel. Mindy Shea and Renae Scott of Old Town Trolley also visited the headquarters for NTA, the National Tour Association, and met with staff to discuss current trends in group travel.
