Savannah Mayor Confirms Rock n’ Roll Marathon | November 6 – 7

Last week, Savannah Mayor Van Johnson gave the green light to the Rock n’ Roll Marathon scheduled for November 6 – 7.

“Overall, and as most people can see, the Savannah hospitality and tourism industry has bounced back nicely and is recovering from the pandemic slump of 2020,” said Joseph Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah. “Welcoming back the Savannah Rock n’ Roll Marathon, at the same time as border openings in Canada and overseas, will help us to attract runners from around the nation and the world for this great event.”

There will be some protocols in place. Runners will have to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of their race.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the 2021 Rock n’ Roll Marathon here in Savannah once again,” said Rob Wells, director of the Greater Savannah Sports Council. “We look to the event as the restart to our normal event schedule here in Savannah and appreciate the safety protocols that Rock n’ Roll has instituted for the event. In addition to hosting a great event, we will learn best practices that we can implement for the 30th Annual Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run on December 4 and other events in the future.” For more information on the Savannah Rock’ n’ Roll Marathon, click here.
