Last week, Condé Nast Traveler announced the 2022 winners of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, and Savannah has ranked top five in the travel publication’s US Best Small Cities!

The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport also took top honors as the No 1. Best US/Domestic Airport, and the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa landed No. 3 on the Top 20 Resorts in the South.
“The readers of Conde Nast Traveler are some of the most sophisticated travelers in the world and they continue to rank Savannah as one of the top visitor destinations in the US,” said Joseph Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah. “That is something that each resident in Savannah and Chatham County should be very proud of. Our visitors appreciate the thousands of locals who work hard every day to support the hospitality industry in this area.”

The Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are among the most prestigious. Now in its 35th year, these Readers’ Choice Awards capture travel experiences from visitors globally. According to Conde Nast, nearly a quarter of a million people filled out the 2022 survey, indicating enthusiasm for travel and admiration for their perennial favorite destinations.
