Southeastern Regional Fruit & Vegetable Growers Conference Meets in Savannah

In the photo at right, Laurie Humphries, Visit Savannah’s destination services manager, along with members of the local tourism industry leads the pre-convention meeting for the Southeastern Regional Fruit & Vegetable Growers Conference.
The event is one of Savannah’s largest and most popular conventions, attracting more than 3,500 attendees each year. More specifically, the convention returns annually in the first or second week of January, bringing a much needed boost to the local economy early in the year. Charles Hall, President and CEO of the organization, commented that the group is “. . . happy to be back in Savannah, our home away from home.”

Jennifer Thompson, senior national sales manager for Visit Savannah, handles the group and informs that they are committed to Savannah at least through 2023.
