Vietnam Vets Visit Savannah for Reunion of 26th Marines
Greg Freeman and Ron Kirk are Vietnam Vets from there 2nd Battalion, 26th Marine Battalion, 5th Marine Division, and they were in Savannah for a very special reunion. Fifty years ago the 26th Marines defended the Khe Sanh for nearly four months. For their actions in the Battle of Khe San the 26th Marines were awarded a Presidential Unit Citation. Thank you to these real-life heroes for their service!
